A POEM FOR THOUGHT"

"POISON"

This thing 

we call DRINK

It teases the mind 

and body into thinking 

it's your friend.

But deep in your mind you know

that if you abuse it, this may be your end.

We convince ourselves into thinking we are Ok, 

just one more, and I'll be on my way.

Sudden whispers in your ear, loud and clear,

  let's stay and enjoy each others' company a little more,

 a few more minutes, and then we'll be out the door.

You are so confident that you're in control

Then at that moment you realize

something is not right

something is happening to your sight.

Life is a blessing each and every day

sometimes we do forget and need 

help to find our way.

Don't let this consume your mind, 

body and soul.

REFUSE to let it take control.

My name is Diane Williams, and I have a God given talent that enables

me to look at almost any photo of an individual or animal and duplicate it.

I have had no professional education or training in this field.

I started sketching children in my elementary class and just continued to do it, it gave me such joy, and when I could not understand something discussed in class, and was afraid to ask about it, I drew. As I got older my sketches got better and with more detail.

My drawings are copies of family, friends, co-workers and strangers, whom just want to have something personal to remember a loved one or special friend. Some of my artwork has been given away as a gift or sold. 

I will always love to draw and paint as long as I am able. Each picture I draw or paint is a part of me.  When the artwork is given a way, I feel blessed to have met that individual, 

and then I realize how much I have touched that person's life at that time.
